Cosmeceutical treatments

Cosmeceutical treatments are procedures to promote skin health and well being with excellent results and minimal or no downtime. Renaissance uses Toskani medical grade peels, Medik8 Skin Peel and skin needling treatments. These products use highly effective potent ingredients with minimal irritation to the skin.

CHEMICAL PEELS

Using high strength acids to deeply exfoliate the skin without irritation to promote a stronger healthier skin with a glowing complexion. Excellent for anti-ageing, pigmentation and acne scarring.

A patch test is required before treatment. This involves a tiny drop of the peel solution placed in the crook of the arm.

A course of six peels is recommended for best results.

MICRONEEDLING FACIAL

Skin Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage such as cuts, burns and other abrasions. Immediately after an injury occurs to the skin, our body re-uses the damaged collagen and elastin fibres as well as other damaged skin components to produce new ones. Skin Needling allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self repair mechanism by creating micro-”injuries” in the skin which trigger new collagen synthesis, yet does not pose a risk of permanent scarring.

How it works…..

As the needling pen is moved over the skin, numerous, ultra fine micro-needles designed to penetrate the epidermis, create microscopic punctures on the skin’s surface. By opening the skin in this way it not only dramatically increases the penetration of any topical product, increasing its efficacy, but it also creates miniature perforations that stimulate the skin’s healing mechanisms increasing production of many important factors for a healthy skin.

At Renaissance a full consultation is carried out pre treatment with a patch test.

Clients are then encouraged to “feed” their skin with serums at home. Use of topical vitamin C and A and Hyaluronic acid can greatly accelerate treatment results as they work synergistically to induce collagen synthesis and help regenerate the skin leading to faster and more spectacular results.

A course of 4 is recommended with consists of a fortnightly treatment alternating a full treatment with a chemical peel on its own.

NEEDLING
HAIR TREATMENT

This exciting new treatment is now available for thinning hair in ladies and gents and involves 10 treatments over 5 weeks and then monthly maintenance. Hair stimulating serums are introduced into the scalp with needling to encourage new hair growth and is successful in 95% of cases. A home use serum is provided with the course.
